In 2023, Mary Ward International worked alongside Loreto Sisters, partners, communities, and supporters to create just and sustainable change with women, children, and communities around the world.
Through the generosity of our supporters, Mary Ward International supported 65,577 people across 67 communities and funded 23 projects. This year, 97% of project funding aimed to advance gender equity, and 91% of projects were led by women.

In Ostico, Timor-Leste, the new Loreto Community Centre became a place for learning, connection, and community development, while a clean water project helped support around 500 families.
In West Bengal, India, the Barefoot Lawyers project helped communities better understand their legal rights, access support, and respond to issues including worker exploitation, family violence, and human trafficking.
In Lukulu, Zambia, continued investment in education and health supported the Sancta Maria College of Nursing and Midwifery, health care access, baby milk, and school lunch programs.
